About Suicide Prevention Coalition of Yavapai County
The Suicide Prevention Coalition of Yavapai County was started by community members in Yavapai County in 2014. The coalition was started with the vision of increasing awareness to suicide within Yavapai County and try to help connect people to the resources they need to prevent the completion of suicide. Throughout the years we have gained dedicated and wonderful coalition members that helped not only raise awareness but accomplish so very much within our community. Our coalition is made up of community stakeholders from different human service agencies, health department, schools, and advocates. We are always welcoming new members to help us meet our goals.
It is with great pride that we bring together many partners in our prevention work. Our partners include MATFORCE, Polara Health, the UBU Project, Yavapai County Community Health Services, the Veterans Administration, Yavapai Justice Mental Health Coalition, the Quad-City Interfaith Council, the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, Southwest Behavioural Health, Terros, Health Choice AZ, the Prism Network, Spectrum Healthcare, Yavapai County Education Services Agency and the many other individual advocates and volunteers that come together to educate on this important topic.
